blogging break

Dear You,

Thanks for visiting this humble blog of mine. But as you can see, the blogging activity has dropped over the past weeks. There have been too little time to construct a proper blog post and it seems like things will be like that for awhile.

Life is changing (for the good I hope) for me, and I’ll be very busy occupied with my business plan. When I do return, I hope the post will be a big red invitation for the launch of the baby I’m working hard on.

Until that day comes, and being a thinker and listener, there will always be adhoc posts and things to share. All these will be happening via my mobile phone to Where is Claudia? What is Claudia doing? blog. Its much easier and random to post short entries via my mobile phone when I’m away from my keyboard. (When I’m near my keyboard, its only work and writing proposals in my mind! Yah! Workaholic I am.) If you are following me on Twitter, feeds should be updated there too hourly.

But do look out for couple of Claud talks Gadgets posts. I’ve been wanting to post them up for the longest time! I promise I’ll spend some time next week to get them up.

For now, don’t forget to support and show some love too at Where is Claudia? What is Claudia doing?.

Thanks!

Claudia

Pssss: I’ve never tried this, but I guess its time to give it a shot…

Minmin’s 1st Day in School

It’s our little girl’s first day in school!

I took lots of photos of her in the cute uniform. And recorded a video clip of her wearing her school shoes and taking her first walk to school. She smiles and giggles when she sat down in line with her cute pink school bag which she’d excitedly pulled from home to school.

I followed her to class and saw her sat there looking attentively to what her form teacher is telling her. I couldn’t stop snapping on my camera. She occasionally took quick look over at me and gave me her biggest smile. She looks so beautiful.

When the school bell rang for the end of the day, she ran towards me and started sharing how much she loves school and the friends she got to meet today.

Minmin loves going school!

If only I could have really lived those moments in her first big day in school. But that didn’t happen. I hope she had fun and enjoyed her day.

We miss you girl! Hope you have enjoyed your first day in school and we look forward to the first school holiday! Cause we will be seeing you for more than the usual 6 hours! Love you very much!

Great Year of the Ox for me!

25 days to welcoming the year of the Ox. Last year, somehow I chanced upon a zodiac prediction that was pretty accurate. Since last year’s prediction was almost 85% true for me in 2008, I thought hey, perhaps this year’s prediction will be rather accurate too.

So here’s the overall forecast for me, the not-so-little rooster…

Wealth vault opens widely, which provides you with great wealth luck. Nonetheless, be wary of potential lawsuits and conflicts. You feel energetic and ready to seize opportunities to strike hard. Perform to your best so that you can gain your superior’s good evaluation and trust.

Those doing business can hope for predictable results and can push forward for expansions. (I like this idea!) Students with diligence can also excel among others. Take note of home safety. Do not speed. Purchase properties if possible. (I hope we can.)

Career

An auspicious situation coupled with streaks of danger. Have caution amid the good fortune. There is ideal progress for your career and work luck. Business deals and relation with others are sweet; a good harvest of reputation and money. Working persons enjoy abundant flow of productive creative juices, leading to great performance and promotion chances or overseas assignments. Female born in 1945 should not miss the boat. (I’m not that old!)

Love

Roosters are very faithful when it comes to romance. But there is no breakthrough in romance luck this year because of severe mood and emotional disturbance. (Oh no! Sadness… so it’s not going to happen in 2009 for us?) Thus, be more tolerant and affectionate to your companion. Pave a path of common goal and future. (Yes I will.) Married couples could go for a rejuvenating vacation.

Wealth

A terrific wealth and colourful year. But it is accompanied by streaks of danger too. Thus, it is clear that ill-gotten wealth has to be avoided. Caution against deceit by vile persons as well as any causes of potential lawsuits. Guard your great flow of regular income and windfall luck from thieves and robbers. Invest wisely.

Health

Rooster has always been very mindful of their health concerns. But do not be complacent when it comes to home safety. Even when the body is strong and energetic, it can succumb to fatigue from overdrive. So take adequate rest and exercise.

Counting down to Chinese New Year! The yummy food! Yummy goodies! And red red hong bao!! Huat ah!!

I’ve just buried my planned R&R week and going direct to my predictions and resolutions for 2009.

After hearing about the predictions by the tech65 crew in their 100th episode, I’m inspired to do my own too.

For Gadgets/ Technology
Some company will come up with an ultra cool phone that integrates every social media tools and network with how one would use a phone to connect, communicate and share seamlessly online and offline.

Apple will overtake MS.

For Social Media
After the water testing, observing and monitoring for social media as a marketing and communication channel in 2008, I foresee social media becoming bigger and better in 2009. There will be better and more social media outreach and campaigns for branding and launches in Singapore and SEA.

A well organised, planned and executed social media convention or conference to be held here in Singapore. So that I can attend without burning huge whole in my wallet!

All evil and irresponsible doers in the scene will be banished! Muahahahaha!

For me, myself and I
I will get to design, furnish and work in my very own “google” office. Anyone wants to work with me? Just for the record, I pay with Lays chips and M&Ms!

Claudia’s Wishlist for 2009
World Peace! I don’t want to read about another country being bombed or attacked on twitter. It’s upsetting.

I want my macbook to turn to silver, with black frame, glossy screen, black keyboards, bigger touchpad… ya I think you’ve got the idea.

I want a tiny pretty diamond ring. Will you get one for me?

I want a kick ass brand new DSLR!

And finally… Claudia’s resolution 2009
To fulfill item no. 1 to 8 on my 2008 resolution list.

Ok! Going to catch up with all the overdue sleeping for 2008 before 2009 comes!

Have a blast at tomorrow’s New Year countdown!! There’s more than 30 parties happening! Take your pick! Perhaps we might bump into one another on the last day of 2008!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Psssss… and also counting down to Chinese New Year!! 26 days to go! Yeah!!

R&R - The Social Media Journey

It’s day 4 of my reflection and resolution week. Seriously! Claudia needs to be spanked! Naughty Claudia didn’t manage to follow her planned posts for the Review and Resolution week! Looks like I’ll have to compact my week! Only 1 more day before 2009 arrives!

So today, I’ll be talking about my social media journey. Which can roughly be rounded up with the following table…

It has been quite a special year and it’d changed so much of me. The people I met, the relationship formed and the things I got to learn about through all the talking, sharing and understanding. I’ve managed to learn a lot from many people’s experience and lessons. (Both the good and the bad.) All just made me a more focused and strong person.

It didn’t come as a shock to me when I finally decided to start my own company. Its not done without any serious thoughts and thinking (except the fact that I totally forgot about the tons of bills to pay) for me to take this step.

Everything seems to be falling into place pretty nicely now. Just a couple more barrier to overcome and things will be stabilized. Thanks to all those who have helped me one way or another! You know who you are! *winks*

Looking forward to a great year ahead!

I seriously need to turn in for tonight. Long day later! I hope to be able to post up my final two R&R posts before 2009 comes! *puts reminders and alarms in my innov8 to remind myself to write those two posts*
